Singing is my life, my passion and my love.
I started my classical talim at the age of 3 under Pandit Ajay Chakraborty ( my first guru ) at his house. My guruma Chandana Chakraborty also helped me many ways. Then gradually I started taking classes Shrutinandan ( an institute by Pandit Ajay Chakraborty ). I was at Shrutinandan for 6 years (1994-2000).
It’s my luck, which has given me the chance to meet the greatest musical legends of our country. Not only to meet but I had a great pleasure of learning music from them. I was a student of Mrs. Prabhati Mukherjee for 3 years. There I learnt ghazals, geet and various other Ragpradhan songs. This 3 years was really a great time for me. She inspired me a lot.
In commercial fields, I have got magnificent gurus. I take technical classes under Music Director Mr. Ashok Bhadra for this last few years (2007 – till now).
I have also trained myself under Mrs. Usha Uthup, Mrs. Jojo Mukherjee and Mr. Rupankar Bagchi (2007 - 2008). They were like magic in my life. I learnt the actual meaning of performance.
I started knowing what the stage is all about. Still now, I take classical training under Saswati Roy Chowdhury and commercial training under Ashok Bhadra.
I started working professionally in 2004.
My first stage show was in Dashami-2004 at Mitali Sangha ( Navadurga ) playground. After that, I have done lots of stage performances in India ( Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Jabbanpur, Kolkata, Goa and many more. ) and abroad.
I was a contestant ( Top 20 ) of Indian Idol – 4 ( 2008 ). There I meet some legendary people. Their each and every comment was very inspiring and positive. There was Anumalick, Sonali Bendre, Javed Akhtar and Kailash Kher in the judging panel. The days during Idol in mumbai were my golden dayes in life.
I had the luck of polishing my voice under Mr. Jayanta Bose.
I have done workshops at Neheru Children’s Meuseum with Mrs. Lopamudra Mitra and performed with her at gyanmanch.
I have worked in gingles, and also have sung in film like Bhalobasha Zindabad, Love Circus.
I have done vocal background of Mahalaya this year ( 2010 ). Which was shown on ( R-plus and Etv and CTVN ).
I have also performed as a co-artist with Rituparna Sengupta, Rahul Priyanka, Mhd. Aziz, and June Banerjee (Singer).
It was a pleasure to work with some of the event companies of kolkata in this way. I am still going on with my journey.
It’s all your love which has given me the courage to launch the website.
